Hang on... that's a vampire?! I swear my canines' are longer than hers!

Too bad she can't suck properly :(

Nostalgia...

TallerdelGato responds:

Surely is.

This is giving me Earthworm Jim vibes... not the games but the animated TV series.

ICam2k responds:

This comparison I can see. I've been told several times how my art style reminds some of people of Nickelodeon Shows specifically, even though I never had the channel. Neither this show, although it is pretty funny based on some glimpses of it. heh

Sorry, but I do not find this funny, and since I'm pretty much just a boring average guy, chances are a lot of people feel the same as me.
Unfortunately I can't really explain why I don't consider this here funny, but I'll try.
One: I don't think the joke is absurd enough to be funny.
Two: the build-up is somewhat weak; you do not see the nervousness on Miss Glasses.

Three: I'm not a comic artist but... well, I too want to make comics someday and one thing I have learned and that's stuck with me is that when you draw a comic page, even if there is no text you still should be able to understand what is going on; supposedly that's the mark of a good comic.
Consider these examples here:

Nice... one question though: Why is one character just a dark silhouette whereas the other has some details?
I feel you should either drawn both characters as silhouettes or both with an equal level of detail.
Also... about that... moonlight warrior; that's not how you hold a spear; at least not when you are about to go to battle.

Thetageist responds:

Both good observations. Might warrant a redraw of this.

The picture looks a little too bright for my tastes... even the shadows are bright.
But if you really want to go with such a look maybe forego the lineart or use another color aside from black.

Thetageist responds:

Good thought. This was made by putting a pastel gradient map over the entirety of another artwork I did, I think with the exception of the line art. Wonder if in the future it’d be better to play around with the values of the colors after putting the gradient map on.

Looks pretty good... but considering that he's got glowing eyes and a glowing mouth I'd say the rest of the face needs more contrast.

Like a Halloween Pumpkin.

Thetageist responds:

I modeled most of this off a sprite from a game, though it could be interesting to play around with values and stuff after the vector art is finished.

There's three things that kinda bug me about the upper logo:
1) The feather looks too stiff and symmetrical; it doesn't quite look feathery.
2) The star, gear and shield are out of line; the gear should be in the center and the others in between. I guess you did that because of the feather but it still doesn't look right.
3) The overall shape of your logo is already a shield; why add another shield?

PS: What's that colored arc thingy supposed to be/present?

About that pencil logo...
Well, I know now that it's supposed to be a pencil thanks to the description, but looking at it without... well one could easily see it as something else.

Thetageist responds:

I guess the pencil’s one of those over simplified logos that everyone hates lol

I think the colored arc is fire? But I’m not sure why it’s where it is.

Man, this is old, but I doubt I’ve gotten any better.

Hmm... Since you have a light source right in front of the character I'd say you need very dark shadows, and highlights.

Looks like you had trouble here with the hands... figures; those trouble me as well.
Little trick I do... the palm of the hand is a rectangle, the fingers, aside from the thumb, I "carve out" of another rectangle or half-moon shape.

Lastly... I think some line variations is needed here: Thick Lines for the overall outline, medium lines for the big details, and thin lines for the little details such as the embroideries.

Thetageist responds:

You nailed the three things I find hardest to do. Directional lighting, hands, and drawing with tiny brushes.
